Ski-resort in Chechnya to be year-round - Kadyrov

The authorities of the Chechen republic began the construction of a mountain-ski resort in the Itum-Kalinsk region of the republic. About $500 million will be spent on the project.
Earlier the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, stated that the resort will be one of most comfortable and attractive complexes for tourists of Russia and from abroad. The complex will include a five-star hotel, 17 mountain-skiing slopes with 7 high-tech elevators.
It is planned to equip the resort with mechanism which is managed to maintain snow on the slopes till the mid of summer, Interfax reports.
Tourists will be carried to the resort from the airport by helicopters or by buses. The project is planned to be carried out for 3-5 years. The authorities expect that annually the resort will welcome 150 000 guests.
