Salaries below 250 manat out of law, Azerbaijani Ministry of Labor warns

Today, Azerbaijani employers received a warning from the State Service of the Labor Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labor in connection with the minimum wage increase to 250 that comes into force tomorrow.

The Ministry’s statement reads that salary at workplaces from Sunday cannot be lower than 250 manats per month for full employment. The execution of the relevant order of President Ilham Aliyev will be monitored by the subsystem ‘Notification of labor contracts’ of the centralized information and electronic system of the Ministry of Labor.

The penalty for violation of the order will amount to 1 - 1.5 thousand manats.
