Iran welcomes Russia's proposal for security in Gulf

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said after talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov that Tehran welcomed a Russian proposal for ensuring security in the Gulf.

Lavrov told reporters at a joint news conference with Zarif that Iran and Russia's energy ministers were also holding talks in Moscow, Reuters reported.
