Armenian parliament passes several bills

A meeting of the National Assembly of Armenia is taking place in Yerevan on Tuesday, News.am reports.

During the meeting, MPs in the first reading passed a number of bills. Among them: ratification of the convention On Avoiding Double Taxation of Income and Property and Prevention of Tax Evasion between the Republic of Armenia and the Kingdom of Denmark (for - 102, unanimously); package of draft laws on amendments to the law On Water User Companies and Associations of Water User Companies and related laws (for - 93, against - 3, abstained - 3); ratification of the agreement on military cooperation between Armenia and Lebanon for 2019 (for - 109, unanimously); Bill on Amendments and Additions to the Law On Public Service in the Office of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (For - 109, unanimously); bill on amendments and additions to the Labor Code (for - 112, unanimously); a package of draft laws on amendments and addenda to the law On Trade and Services” and related laws (for - 106, unanimously).

The deputies also, in the second reading, approved a number of amendments to existing laws: a bill on amendments and additions to the tax code (for - 104, unanimously); package of draft laws on amendments to the law On Water User Companies and Associations of Water User Companies and related laws (for - 102, against - 0, abstained - 5); the bill on introducing amendments and addenda to the law On public service in the apparatus of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (for - 109, unanimously), the bill on introducing amendments to the Labor Code (for - 105, unanimously). In addition, during the meeting, a number of bills were not approved by parliament. Among them: the bill on amendments and additions to the tax code (for - 41, against - 52, abstained - 14); the bill on amendments to the tax code (for - 41, against - 59, abstained - 5).
