Iranian president congratulates Nazarbayev on winning polls

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has congratulated Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on winning the presidential polls, Press TV reports.

Ahmadinejad expressed hope that the two countries will strengthen cooperation. The Iranian president wished prosperity and success to Kazakh people and government.

Kazakhstan held presidential polls on Sunday with Nazarbayev winning with 95.5% of votes, the CEC said.
