Dutch teenager helps disabled people of Kakheti
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe son of a Georgian emigrant, a citizen of the Netherlands, Georgy Venko, created the Help Georgia charity fund and raised 40 thousand euros for people with disabilities in the Georgian village of Brocliani (Kakheti), Georgian media report.
George Venko is only 14 years old. Two years ago, his mother Tika Svanidze-Venko told the boy about the hardships of life in Georgian villages, thus the idea to help needy citizens of Georgia originated.
He raised 40 thousand euros as part of a charity event at school and in social networks. Thanks to this money, a water pipe was installed in the house for the disabled in Brozliani and the roof repaired.
