Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaEU leaders have left open the option of extending Brexit beyond 31 October if the new deal is voted down by the Commons.
President of the European council Donald Tusk said the issue of an extension was for a later date. "If there is a request for an extension, I will consult member states to see how they react," the Guardian cited him as saying.
It was earlier reported that the summit of the European Union has approved the deal on the Brexit parameters, and agreed that it will be enacted from November 1 if the UK Parliament is in time to ratify all the documents.
