Arrest of ex-minister extended in Yerevan
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA first instant court in Yerevan, chaired by Judge Artush Gabrielyan, has allowed to extend the arrest of former Armenian minister of finance Gagik Khachatryan for another two months.
Khachatryan’s lawyer Yerem Sargsyan said that the ruling was unexpected for them. In addition, he said that this decision will be appealed, ARKA reported.
Gagik Khachatryan was arrested on August 27, 2019 on suspicion of committing a series of crimes, particularly, abuse of official powers and large-scale embezzlement.
