Russian and Polish presidents meet

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has met his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski in Smolensk today, RIA Novosti reports.

The two leaders met at a city library. Medvedev welcomed the Polish president at the library entrance personally.

Medvedev and Komorowski are expected to lay flowers at the memorial stone of the Tu-154 plane crash. Polish President Lech Kaczynski died in the plane crash on April 10, 2010. The two presidents will also visit the memorial in Katyn.
