The Government of Ukraine has preferred the Northern project for the construction of the bridge across the Kerch Strait. The bridge will connect the Cape Fonar and Malyi Kut lantern, YUGA.ru reports.

Three other projects were considered along with the Northern project named Zhukovsky (from the village of Zhukovka exit to spit Chushka, the length of the transition - 6,3 km), Enikalsky (from Cape Sinyagin to spit Chushka, the length of the transition - 5,7 km) and Tuzla (from Cape Ak-Burun across the island of Tuzla Spit, the length of the transition - 11,7 km).

The Northern project is more preferable due to better geological conditions and the high level of shoreline, the site of the Ukrainian government informs. The length of the bridge will amount to 10.25 km.
