Suspected subway terrorist identified in Belarus
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaPolice in Belarus have identified the suspected subway terrorist in Minsk, the KGB reports. A blast happened at the Oktyabrskaya subway station in Minsk on Monday. 12 people died and 149 were injured. Experts say that the bomb was equivalent to 5 kg of TNT.
Belarus Prosecutor says blast was terrorist attack.
The General Prosecutor's Office in Belarus has said the blast in the Minsk metro on Monday was a terrorist attack. President Alexander Lukashenko called an urgent meeting. He ordered additional security measures to be taken.
Specialists from UK, Israel and Russia will arrive in Belarus on Tuesday to investigate the case, RIA Novosti reports.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev expressed condolence in a telephone conversation with Alexander Lukashenko. He proposed Belarus all the necessary support to find people responsible for the blast, Medvedev“s press secretary Natalya Timakova said.
Russia may treat the injured in its clinics. Russian Minister of Healthcare and Social Development Tatyana Golikova received the necessary orders.
FSB Chief Alexander Bortnikov was ordered to help in investigating the case.
