Head of Ingushetia center for countering extremism shot dead

The head of the center for countering extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Ingushetia, Ibrahim Eldzharkiev, was shot dead in Moscow, a source in emergency services informs.

”The head of the center for countering extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Ingushetia, Ibrahim Eldzharkiyev, was shot dead on Academician Anokhin street,” TASS quotes the source as saying.

A murder attempt had been committed on Eldzharkiyev in January: his car was machine-gunned when the official was returning from Chechnya to Ingushetia.
