Yerevan hosts Armenian-Chinese business forum
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaYerevan opened the the largest Armenian-Chinese business forum on Tuesday, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said, ARKA reports.
The business forum was organized by the Armenian Development Agency in assistance of the Ministry of Economy. 22 Chinese organizations of various spheres of business are taking part.
The premier said that such forum is a demonstration of a high level of mutual understanding and trust. He emphasized the rising role of the trade-economic component of the bilateral cooperation.
Sargsyan noted that the trade turnover between Armenia and China reached $436 million in 2010, almost doubling in comparison with 2009.
Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan said that the business forum is an excellent platform for discussing projects, development of economic cooperation between the two states. China is one of Armenia“s main trade-economic partners, he clarified.
Export reached $30.9 million, import $405.8 million. Armenia exports ore and imports a wide range of products, including clothes, shoes, engineering, chemical products, equipment, construction materials, food.
Armenia has 41 enterprises with Chinese capital.
