Eleonora Mitrofanova to Vestnik Kavkaza: there's no issue with Russian language in Azerbaijan

This summer, Eleonora Mitrofanova visited Baku attended 43rd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Baku as part of the Russian delegation. During the visit, she held talks with Azerbaijan's Education Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and Minister of Culture Abulfas Garayev.
"I would say that we haven't seen any problems with the Russian language in Azerbaijan. Russian language teaching in the republic is supported at the highest state level, which is very important," she stressed in the first place.
"Almost all schools in Azerbaijan provide education in Russian language as a segment," the head of Rossotrudnichestvo said, adding that Russia and Azerbaijan are linked by rich humanitarian ties.
"We have a huge number of cultural projects with Azerbaijan in the sphere of fine arts and in other areas of humanitarian contacts," Eleonora Mitrofanova said.
She also praised Baku. "The session of the World Heritage Committee was held at the stunning Heydar Aliyev Center. In addition, I visited several galleries, the Museum of Modern Art.
