Russian, Uzbek presidents talk by phone

A telephone call between the president of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov and the president of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, took place yesterday, the press service of the Kremlin reported.

The heads of the states touched on issues of bilateral cooperation and hailed bilateral development in the trade and energy spheres.

They also discussed North Africa, the Middle East and the Persian Gulf.
