Iranian-Turkish border hit by earthquake

A 3.1-magnitude earthquake has struck near the Iranian-Turkish border, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said.

The earthquake was centered some 94 kilometers east of Turkey's Van province and 165 kilometers west of Iran's Tabriz. The outbreak lay at a depth of 2 kilometers.

The were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
