Iran asks Russia to provide $ 2 billon loan, Novak says

Iran asked Russia to provide a $ 2 billion loan for the construction of power plants, railways and the purchase of railcars for the subway, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said today.

"They asked for intergovernmental loans. The Ministry of Finance is considering this request. They asked for a $ 2 billion loan for the construction of power plants, hydroelectric power stations, railways and the supply of subway cars," Novak said, TASS reports.
