Ankara to host Azerbaijani-Turkish business forum

Ankara will host an Azerbaijani-Turkish business forum on April 15, the Turkish embassy in Baku said, Trend reports.

The Azerbaijani delegation will be headed by Minister of Economic Development Shakhin Mustafayev, the Turkish – by Foreign Trade Minister Zafer Chaglayan. Mustafayev’s delegation will arrive in Ankara on April 14.

The Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said that Azerbaijan and Turkey had a trade turnover of $942.165 million in 2010, with imports of $771.274 million and exports of $170.894 million.

The Trade Chamber in Ankara said that Turkey invested $3.8 billion in Azerbaijan directly. $3.6 billion of the sum were invested in the energy sector. Turkey invested $170 million in Azerbaijani communications, the head of the Trade Chamber Sinan Aygun said.
