The deputy of the Armenian parliament from the ruling My Step faction, Hayk Sargsyan, proposed to introduce a legislative norm today, according to which those who do not want to serve in the army can pay about $ 20 thousand and serve only one month instead of two years.

As Sargsyan explained, his initiative has two reasons: Yerevan will be able to pay military contract soldiers for the two-year service, and the opportunity to serve for only a month will create conditions for the return of young citizens to Armenia.
