Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Jordan Valley as Israel's eastern border was among the topics discussed in a recent phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Speaking at a laying ceremony for 12 new factories in Ashkelon, Netanyahu characterized his conversation with Trump as "very important" for Israel's security.

"We also spoke at length about the historic opportunity that we have in the coming months, including the Jordan Valley as the recognized estern border of Israel," the Jerusalem Post cited him as saying.

Yesterday, the Israeli PM said that 40 million shekels ($11.5 million) will be transferred to West Bank Jewish settlements.
