Iran and Armenia to hold Days of Culture

Armenia and Iran will hold Days of Culture in their capitals in 2011, News Armenia reports.


The issue was discussed by the Armenian Ambassador to Iran, Grigor Arakelyan, and the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Orientation, Mohamad Khosein.


The ambassador touched upon cultural programs, including Armenian participation in the international book exhibition in Tehran within the framework of UNESCO nominating Yerevan as world book capital in 2012. Tehran will hold Days of Culture in Armenia related to the 20th anniversary of Armenian independence in October 2011.


Khoseini noted that the two states have a good opportunity to improve cultural ties.
