Georgian monk arrested for methadone

According to Georgian media, monk Svimon Kavtaradze, accused of possession of 15.5 g methadone, was sent to prison in Zugdidi.

Kavtaradze’s lawyer tried to release his ward on bail, as he fully pleaded guilty, but the court took the side of the prosecutor’s office, who said that the criminal would try to escape from justice or get rid of evidence.
