Russia’s annual inflation may end up below the target level of 3% in 2020, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin said.

"We see the risks of inflation deceleration to below our basic scenario (of 3%)," the minister said.

He added that inflation is to reach 3–3.1% in 2019, as compared with the previous forecast of 3.8%.

Oreshkin recalled that they expected 3.8% as of the end of the year, and "will now have 3–3.1%."  "We will reach 2.5% in the first quarter… There are no sources for inflation,PRIME cited him as saying.
