Russian president has questions for UN on Libyan operation

Russia has serious questions for the UN authorities concerning the abuse of authority in a set of resolutions concerning Libya, a dangerous tendency in international relations, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev told journalists, RIA Novosti reports.


The president believes that the authority granted by resolution 1973 on Libya was misused. For example, the events in Ivory Coast. Resolution 1975 says that UN forces may not support any sides in a conflict. In fact, this point was violated, Medvedev said.
