OSCE Minsk Group co-Chairs to meet Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers

The OSCE Minsk Group co-Chairs expect to meet the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers in the coming days in Europe to discuss the perspectives for negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, an OSCE Minsk Group statement declares. A meeting of the co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassadors Yuri Merzlyakov of Russia, Bernard Fassier of France, and Robert Bradtke of the United States, took place in Vienna on Wednesday behind closed doors.

During the briefing, the representatives of the chairman states were informed about the current status of negotiations and further steps to be undertaken to make progress on the elaboration of a settlement, based on the Madrid Principles as well as the elements contained in the joint statement issued by Presidents of the co-Chair countries at the L'Aquila Summit of the Eight on July 10, 2009.
