Record amount of new generation drugs seized at Istanbul airport

Employees seized a record 1.7 tons of drugs at the cargo terminal at Istanbul Airport, News.am reported citing TRT Haber.

This is a new-generation drug called "kratom." Turkish police have come across it the first time, an in such huge amounts.

The cargo was being transported from Indonesia to the United States, but was found on the road with the help of specially trained dogs and an analysis of the samples taken.
