"We are the only executors of such a program in foreign markets and for a foreign audience. It is about supporting the language environment abroad in the information, educational and humanitarian spheres. The objectives of the projects that we helped implement are increasing the level of digital literacy of our compatriots, forming knowledgeable digital behavior and increasing interest in programming and high-tech fields of study," Mitrofanova said.
Among other tasks, she named the formation of professional interest in studying Russian culture and the Russian language, based on professional hobbies in the field of the digital economy and the formation of partnerships between Russia and foreign countries, based on the knowledge gained in the framework of projects in the field of digital economy.
"Several years ago, Rossotrudnichestvo declared and adopted several new approaches in its work:
- strengthening work with the young generation: schoolchildren, students, young specialists up to 35 years of age;
- strengthening work with the CIS countries and shifting focus from far abroad to our closest neighbors;
- working with citizens in other countries, not only in the territory of our centers, located mainly in the capitals, but also across the country with maximum coverage," the head of Rossotrudnichestvo said.
"An integrated approach to the implementation of events - holding cultural, scientific and educational events in a way to enhance the effect and address a wider targeted audience. These events, held as part of hackathons, kvantoriums and other new forms of work with youth in the field of digital economies, make these activities more comprehensive," Mitrofanova said.
As for the promotion of the Russian language, she said that first of all, attention was paid to the EEU and other CIS countries. Mitrofanova specially focused on several projects that ensure the expansion of Russia's presence in foreign countries through the creation of permanent educational activities and international units of universities: "These are joint educational programs of Russian and foreign universities and departments based on foreign universities, which ensures long-term interaction, including within the digital economy."
