Russia shuts down power supplies to South Ossetia for power line maintenance

Russia has shut down all power supplies to South Ossetia on Friday morning, RES reports.


The shutdown was caused by maintenance activities on the Zaramag – North Portal power line, director of Energoresurs – South Ossetia, Alan Gabarayev, said.


Energy will be restored on April 15 at 18.00 (Moscow time).


South Ossetia lacks own power plants.
