Turkish government to expand democratic freedoms

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that the government of the country is going to propose a bill to expand democratic freedoms and secure human rights in Turkey, RBC reports.

According to recent polls, the Justice and Development Party (AKP) still remains the most influential political force in Turkey and has a good chance of winning the coming campaign.

The opposition accuses the AKP of trying to alter the whole political system of Turkey and establish a presidential republic.
