Fire breaks out in Kazakhstan's Shymkent railway station

A fire occurred in a two-storey building at the railway station in Shymkent at night, spokesperson of the Emergency Situations Committee of the Interior Ministry of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nurakhmetov said.

He said that the emergency call was received today at 2:07 am. Fire fighters eliminated the flame at 2:27 am.

Some 30 people were attempting to stop the fire until arrival of the fire fighting team. No victims and injuries were reported.

The fire reasons are being established. The railway station has been cordoned off by police, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported.
