Iran builds country's first coal power station

Director of Electric Power Development of Iran Majid Salehi said that the country's first coal power plant with a capacity of 344 MW is being built in Tabas, reports Iran News.
According to Majid Salehi, power plant is being constructed with the financial participation of Chinese companies.
Coal thermal power plant in Tabas will be set in operation in 21015, by the end of implementation of the fifth five-year program of country development.
Majid Salehi said that more than 90% of the equipment and technology needed in the construction of power plants is produced by Iranian companies.
