Ivan Gerter appointed premier of Kabardino-Balkaria

The head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Arsen Kanokov, appointed Ivan Gerter as the republic's prime minister to replace Alexander Merkulov,  RIA Novosti reports.

On April 4th Kanokov signed an order on Merkulov’s dismissal due to his shifting to another position and declared the resignation of the republic's government. On April 18th the parliament of Kabardino-Balkaria approved Gerter for the position of the head of the government.
