No coronavirus cases recorded in Azerbaijan - Health Ministry

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Health said that there are no confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in Azerbaijan.

Assistant of the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev told reporters in Baku that the issue related to coronavirus is on the international agenda. Hajiyev noted that Azerbaijan is seriously studying WHO recommendations and taking the necessary measures. The presidential assistant said that discussions were held in the Cabinet of Ministers in connection with the coronavirus and an Action Plan was prepared.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has already warned citizens about the issue of trips to countries with confirmed coronavirus cases.

According to the latest reports, China has confirmed over 77,000 cases of patients infected with the novel coronavirus. The virus’ death toll has hit 2,592, yet more than 24,700 patients have recovered from the disease. There are 27 deaths outside mainland China, RIA Novosti reported.
