Uzbekistan suspends air links with Afghanistan and Iran
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaUzbekistan has suspended flights to and from Afghanistan and Iran to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus, the Uzbek foreign ministry said.
The Uzbek Ministry of Transport informed aviation authorities and companies of Afghanistan and Iran about temporary suspension of flights to these countries since March 1.
Uzbekistan Airways has also halted flights to Italy, Japan and South Korea since March 1 since March 1.
Uzbek authorities pledged to restore flights upon improvement of the coronavirus situation in those countries.
Uzbek citizens are recommended to refrain from travel to coronavirus affected countries until improvement of the situation, AKIpress reported.
