Kazakhstan exported 4 million tons of oil through Georgia in 2010
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Tengiz oil transfer through Georgia in 2010 reached 4 million tons. Transfer was realized through the Black Sea ports of Batumi and Kulevi, Trend cites the head of company group of the Baku Oil Terminal, Batumi Seaport and Petrotrans Limited, Abay Turkpenbayev, as saying.
Each terminal had 2 million tons of oil transferred. Tengiz oil is exported from Port Aktau through terminals of KazTransoil and Terminaliks to the terminal of Sanchagal in Baku.
Then it is transported to the Black Sea via railway and then to Kulevi and Batumi. Oil transfer levels always drop in winter and at stormy times.
