OPEC+ meeting to be held on April 6
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe meeting of the OPEC+ group of oil producers is planned for April 6, Azerbaijan’s energy ministry said.
"Azerbaijan has been invited to take part in the meeting that will be dedicated to finding the ways of stabilizing the oil market," the ministry said, adding that the meeting will be held as a video conference.
The ministry said that all OPEC+ countries are expected to take part and that stabilising prices on oil markets would be discussed.
The meeting participants are expected to discuss the Declaration of Cooperation.
Saudi Arabia yesterday called for an emergency meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC producers, saying it aimed to reach a fair agreement to stabilise oil markets that have crashed on the demand impact from the coronavirus pandemic.
Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak earlier said that he does not see conditions for a new agreement at the moment due to the actions of OPEC partners.
