More than 5,300 Georgian citizens return to their homeland

The Georgian authorities returned to the homeland about 5,300 compatriots who stuck abroad because of the coronavirus, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reports.

In addition, the diplomatic missions of Georgia assisted about 3,600 citizens of Georgia - they provided them with housing, transport, food, medicine and other basic necessities.

According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, about 3,300 citizens returned to the country by air, 1,800 by land, and 275 by sea.
