Moscow reports 27 novel coronavirus deaths in past day

A total of 27 patients, suffering from the novel coronavirus and associated diseases, have died in Moscow in the past 24 hours, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported.

"A total of 27 patients, who were diagnosed with pneumonia and tested positive for the novel coronavirus, have died in Moscow. The victims are between 38 and 90 years old. The 38-year-old patient suffered from chronic bronchitis. The majority of patients had associated diseases," TASS cited the crisis center as saying.

To date, a total of 57,999 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Russia, with 4,420 patients having recovered from the virus. Russia’s latest data indicates 513 fatalities nationwide. 

The overall death toll in the Russian capital now stands at 288.
