Yerevan mayor permits protests

The mayor of Yerevan has permitted the Armenian National Congress (ANC) to hold protests on Freedom Square on April 28, News Armenia reports.

A march will be held along the route Freedom Square - Mashtots Avenue - Republic Square - Nalbandian Street - Tumanyan Street - Freedom Square.

Protests on Freedom Square were banned after the events of March 1-2, 2008, when 10 people died and 200 were injured.
