Georgia reports 4 new coronavirus cases

Georgia reported four new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 671.

As of May 15, 266 remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia, 393 of the 671 individuals have recovered, while 12 others have died, Agenda.ge reported.

The village of Geta in Bolnisi municipality of eastern Georgia has been put on strict lockdown earlier today after reporting 15 new cases of coronavirus late yesterday. Bolnisi has been on lockdown since March 22, 2020.

Georgia has already lifted several, coronavirus related restrictions and reopened Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi and Rustavi cities.

Although Georgia will lift restrictions limiting the size of group gatherings to three on May 18, gatherings of more than ten individuals will not be allowed. Moreover, restrictions still apply to driving a vehicle. No more than three people, including the driver, can be in one vehicle.
