Maritime part of "North Stream" pipeline to be completed by May 15

Construction of the offshore portion of the  “North Stream” gas pipeline will be completed by May 15, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said, RIA Novosti reports.

"I have informed our colleagues that the work is completed, the maritime part will be finished on May 15. Fortunately, no problem appeared from sunken munitions at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, or from the environmental point of view. Everything is allright", Putin said on Tuesday at a joint press conference after talks with his Danish counterpart.
