Two militants killed in Kabardino-Balkaria - 2

Two militants were killed in a special counter-terrorist operation in the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, Nalchik, RIA Novosti reports.

The two men opened fire on a police patrol. There is no information about casualties among the law-enforcement officers.

The situation in Kabardino-Balkaria remains tense. The number of attempts on police officers’ lives has quadrupled compared with 2009’s statistics, with 42 officers killed, along with 31 civilians.
