Ingush president meets Gutseriev halfway

The president of Ingushetia will congratulate the ex-head of the Russneft company Mikhail Gutseriev on his return to his homeland by telephone. Yunus-bek Evkurov said Gutseriev would stay in Ingushetia for one day, reports RIA Novosti.

 "The head of the city's airport has informed me that Gutseriev arrived in Ingushetia by charter and is planning to leave the republic today. I've ordered them to get his telephone number so I can congratulate him on his return," the president said. The president said he did not make any effort to close a criminal case against Gutseriev.
"I am not empowered to call for the close of a criminal case. But when I was asked, I have answered that being an Ingush citizen I would like the criminal case against Gutseriev to be closed, since he did a lot for the republic in the past and could have done more in the future," he added.

Evkurov added he would welcome any investment proposals from Gutseriev.
