Armenia to reform state property registry system
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe State Registry of Property in Armenia will be reformed by 2012, head of the structure Yervand Zakharyan said, ARKA reports.
He noted that recent researches have demonstrated problems in the registry system. Studies in 2010 became the basis for the reforms. Zakharyan said that all reforms will be concluded by late 2011. The registry will start operating in a new regime in January 2012.
The reform lifts the need for property measurements in secondary deals or issuing of notes. Measurements will only be taken at primary registration.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that at least 300,000 people need the services of the State Registry of Property every year. Services at the structure are unsatisfactory.
Sargsyan pointed out the need to discuss purchase-sales deals with the Justice Ministry. The government will continue monitoring all 18 inspection structures that must prepare proposals on improvements of the quality of services.
