President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, speaking today at a rally in Grodno, ordered to close the striking enterprises from 24 August.

According to the head of state, “if someone doesn’t want to work,” governors and executive committee chairmen should not force people to do it.

"No need. We will not force or persuade them. The country will survive. But if the enterprise does not work, we will put the lock on the gate on Monday. People will cool down. We will figure out who to invite to those enterprises, ” the president said ,  RIA Novosti reports.
