University hospital burns in Istanbul

A massive fire broke out inside the new building of the Istanbul University Medical College Hospital in Istanbul on Sunday afternoon, Gulf News reports.

A battery of fire tenders rushed to the site of the incident.

Police have cordoned off the area and evacuated the nearby buildings.

Local media reported that an ignition led to a fire in the insulation material on the roof of the building under construction in the campus of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine…” Firefighters are using state-of-the-art equipment to douse the flames, Gulf News informs.
