Ex-head of Armenia’s National Security Service accused of plotting Pashinyan’s assassination
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe former head of the National Security Service of Armenia and leader of the Fatherland party Artur Vanetsyan was accused of attempting to seize power and plotting the assassination of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The politician was detained, lawyers Lusine Sahakyan and Yervand Varosyan informed.
According to Sahakyan, this afternoon, the police tried to conduct a search in Vanetsyan’s and his parent's house but failed, as they could not find out the exact address, thus, received the wrong search permit, Sputnik Armenia reports.
Meanwhile, Artur Vanetsyan was summoned to the Investigative Department of the National Security Service and then arrested.
