ICRC president: Azerbaijan and Armenia exchange 200 bodies

Parties to the Karabakh conflict have already exchanged 200 bodies, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer said.

According to him, the priorities of the organization's activities in Nagorno-Karabakh are helping displaced persons, retrieving the bodies of those killed, as well as visiting prisoners to prepare for possible negotiations and exchange.

"We will continue to make efforts," the head of the ICRC said. He also thanked the Russian peacekeepers and called the committee's cooperation with them very close. "According to the latest information, 200 bodies have already been exchanged. We will continue our efforts," RIA Novosti cited Maurer as saying.
