Medvedev to punish officials responsible for failure of defense plan

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has threatened to punish officials responsible for the failure of the defense plan, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the annual presidential address to the Federal Assembly, the  Russian army was going to receive new weaponry this year, but the plan was not fulfilled. President Medvedev said he was disappointed and underlined that responsible members of the government should be punished.
