Pashinyan dismisses Armenian defense minister
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaArmenian Minister of Defense David Tonoyan has resigned following Armenia's losses in the Karabakh war with Azerbaijan.
The following order was signed by Armenian President Armen Sarkisyan.
Adviser to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol PashinyanVagharshak Harutyunyan, who was the Armenian Minister of Defense in 1999-2000, will be appointed new Minister of Defense, Sputnik Armenia reported.
The President of Armenia also dismissed head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan. Now the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia will be led by Andranik Piloyan, and Mesrop Arakelyan has been appointed the head of the Ministry of Social Development.
